The best lesson planner for homeschool lessons - I switched to an Erin Condren this year and I LOVED it! There's a coupon code in this post, too!

Last year, I reviewed an Erin Condren Teacher's Lesson Planner. I'd only had it for a few weeks, but I already loved it and I was excited to share! This year, the kind folks at Erin Condren sent a lesson planner for me to review, and I seriously love it even more. We are heading into 7th grade with my oldest (can't believe it), and last year was the first year EVER that I stuck with one lesson planner for the entire year!

When I got my planner this year, I decided to take you on a little tour:

Lesson Planner Cover – mine is cropped to cut out the personal info, but the covers are custom (and so pretty! tons of options!) and a snap-in ruler.

The interchangeable, adorable covers now have a dashboard on the inside to write on in the front and back – I'll show you that towards the end of this post, but I was pretty excited so I just wanted to mention it to kick things off!

Inside pages – “All About Me”; passwords and usernames (SO helpful for the online math and a few other classes my kids were taking this year!) and web resources.

Classroom Events and Volunteers – the first section is for Classroom Volunteers (oh, what I wouldn't give for a homeschool classroom volunteer!), but I use this section for babysitters and phone numbers. The second section on the left is for Special Events & Field Trips – it's great to fill this out at the beginning of the year! For example, we checked our local calendars for the rodeo, traveling lego displays, musical events, and other fun homeschool enrichment activities.

Holidays & Dates to Remember

Birthdays – this is a super cute way to record birthdays, but as there are only 7 of us, we fill in EVERY extended family birthday and friend's birthday, which makes a great tool for homeschool writing! My kids have to write a letter to a friend or family member every week (this is a great way for them to practice handwriting, spelling, and grammar). This spread makes it really easy to include birthdays and special dates to give them ideas and motivation to send letters and cards.

Absentee Log – this is not super-useful for homeschoolers as-is, but it is an excellent place to keep track of special assignments, OR extracurricular activities. We use this section to track events that we need to attend out of the house (like speech class) – what it is, the date, where/what the meetings or events are for.

Graph Paper – There are 4 pages of graph paper in this section. Last year, I used mine to plot out our homeschool area, and this was a huge help with organization.

Plan Your Year – this is extremely useful for planning your school year, especially if you school year-round!

Monthly Spread – so cute! Every month is a different color, with a notes section and the 2016/2017 dates. The EC Do-it-All Dots come with this planner so you can add cute date number stickers.

Weekly lesson plans – hard to believe we completed 36 of these last year! These are our tentative plans for the first week of school, but I love the flexibility of these lesson planning sheets.

Student Checklist – the possibilities are endless for this!

This is our little mini-accountability system for school – I use the checklists to keep track of assignments, and use skinny washi tape to start a new list of the kids names every time we fill up a section. We don't even need to do that, though – there are enough checklist pages to last the entire 36 weeks of school. So we use these sheets now not only for school assignments, but for morning and evening routines and chores. This has been great, because my lesson planner is out every weekday. Since it's already out, it's so easy to use these lists to keep the kids on track. This is one of my favorite features in the planner!

There are four pages of sticker sheets (and they're extra cute this year!) – 2 blank sheets and 2 printed sheets.

Printed stickers – love those reminder stickers!

Handy back folder – I keep all kinds of things in here, but it's especially good for the few reading and math flash cards that my kids are struggling with.

Back cover – one extra pocket, a few clear sheet protectors (hard to see, but they are laying flat on the dashboard – I use these for our memory work), and a dashboard on the back cover.

That's it! The Erin Condren Teacher's Lesson Planner – even better than before! If you want to get one for yourself to start your school year planning, here is a link to get $10 off of your first purchase
