It’s baaaaaack! Due to popular demand, I’ve put together ANOTHER week of $7 dinners! These are all gluten-free, healthy meals, and they all work for Trim Healthy Mama! You can scroll to the very bottom of this post to download a printable shopping list.
If you aren’t familiar with my $7 Dinner posts, you can check out $7 Dinners Part I and $7 Dinners Part 2. The idea is that these 7 meals average out to about $7 per meal, feeding at least 6 per meal. Pretty great for a healthy dinner, right? These have been averaging about .90 cents per serving at my house.
Depending on your family’s appetites, you may want to grab a bag of brown rice to serve as sides, or ingredients for side salads or frozen veggies for extra filling meals.
As with my other $7 Dinner Posts, you could make these meals even cheaper with coupons, buying in bulk, or even Target Cartwheel.
Let’s get started! Here are the meals, and I’ll share a screen shot of my online Kroger shopping list below. I don’t have my actual receipt, because I have 5 kids. (That’s enough of an explanation, right?) I had to go back through and recreate an online shopping cart so I would have proof for you. 😉
Slow Cooker Chicken Chili (THM E) (omit the cheese to keep this an E)
Tuna & White Bean Salad (THM E) (doubled)
Basil Chicken with Artichokes and Tomatoes (THM S) (I halve the chicken breasts length-wise to make additional servings, but you could always add more chicken if needed)
Ground Turkey and Peppers (THM S) (doubled to feed 8)
Garlic Parmesan Chicken (THM S) (doubled to feed 6-8)
Tuna & Spinach Salad (THM S)
fresh spinach, remaining canned tuna, cucumber, tomato, and leftover/remaining veggies w/ salad dressing
Mexican Zucchini & Beef (THM S)
And here’s a screenshot (4 pages) of my Kroger shopping list – you can see that the online total was $49.77, but I actually spent less than that in the store:
Shopping List for One Week of $7 Dinners
This shopping list does not include some staples, because I already had most of these at home, and it’s likely that you will, too. Adding these ingredients would not change the cost much, because you’d only be using about .02 cents worth of the spices per dish.
